“Whither Goes Our Withering World?”
Where is Our World Civilization Heading?
The original New Testament Bible was written in Greek. The Greek word for “world” is kosmos, which means social order. Our title actually means to probe the withering of our social order. Why? Because, yes, many are wondering where is our social order or civilization heading?
Many are wondering why there are so many diverse tragedies in our world. Some feel our world or civilization is in a tailspin. For example, it is estimated that in the US estimates range from 200,000 to 400,000 deaths per year are caused by otherwise preventable mistakes made in hospitals by doctors and nurses. That is just one of the many tragedies in our world today. Yes, wither goes our withering world?
To the surprise of many, Donald Trump, one of the wealthiest men in the world, was elected President of the US. His election returns the Republican party to the Presidency after eight years. Yes, Which way will the nation go?
On February 12, 2017, the White House released a list of 78 terror attacks around the world, claiming that “most of them did not get sufficient attention from the media.” Furthermore, the President told military commanders at Central Command, “You’ve seen what happened in Paris and Nice. All over Europe it’s happening, It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported. And in many cases a very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons, and you understand that.”
Most Europeans Want a Halt to Muslim Immigration
A survey asked respondents in ten countries “if all further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped.” A majority of respondents in eight out of ten European countries agreed with the statement, “all further migration from mainly Muslim countries should be stopped.” The survey polled over 10,000 respondents.
About 25% said they neither agreed nor disagreed with the statement. In no country did the proportion of people who disagreed with halting immigration from mainly Muslim countries exceed 32%. Some observed the results indicate a Europe that is fed up with the problems they say are “associated with Islamic abuses: terrorism, rape, inter-communal violence, and a population which is willing to countenance measures which previously would have been regarded as extreme to halt it.” High profile terrorist attacks have rocked Europe for the past two years.
The writer, in a discussion with a university professor, learned that he, a Muslim, was very enthusiastic over the high influx of Muslims into the United States. He said it was just a matter of time before the Muslims take control of the United States.
Are 700,000 Jews Considering Leaving Europe?
Approximately one third of the 300,000 inhabitants of Malmö, Sweden, are supposedly of foreign origin including Muslims, and the percentage of Muslims is claimed to be increasing steadily so that the Jews are fleeing Malmö. In the Seventies there were more than 2,000 Jews, in Malmö but currently there are less than 500 Jews. The majority of the 2,000 Jews they said fled for Stockholm, Sweden.
The Simon Wiesenthal Center issued a warning to all Jews who visit Malmö, to “Hide Jewish religious signs. Also do not speak Hebrew.” The Jewish leaders in the French city of Marseille are also warning, “Take off the kippa for your own good.” Therefore, the European Union’s Agency for Fundamental Rights revealed that the Jews have stopped wearing all religious symbols because of fear of attacks. From Denmark to Germany it is the same appeal: don’t wear the Jewish yarmulke. Consequently, the European Jewish Congress has publicized a shocking poll. “A third of the Jews in Europe are thinking of emigrating.” That means 700,000 Jews may well be leaving Europe. Recent incidents and threats suggest that Anti-Semitism is increasing in the United States.
The Conference of European Rabbis President Pinchas Goldschmidt said he believes United States influence over its allies and other countries in the world is going to greatly diminish under the Trump administration. Time will tell if his observation is valid.
Meeting of Trump with Netanyahu
Trump did not commit to the two-state solution, saying that he would be happy with any agreement Israel and the PA is reached. “I’m looking at a two-state and one-state and I like the one that both parties like. I can live with either one.” Prime Minister Netanyahu attacked the PA for its incitement and the salaries it pays to the murderers of Israelis and even Americans, and its denial of Jewish history and Jewish rights. “If anyone believes that I, as Prime Minister of Israel, responsible for the security of my country Israel, would blindly walk into a Palestinian terror state which seeks the destruction of my country, they are gravely mistaken.”
Netanyahu observed that the Jews are native to the land of Israel. He continued, “why are Jews called Jews? The Chinese are called Chinese because they come from China. The Japanese are called Japanese because they come from Japan. Well, Jews are Jews because they come from Judea. This is the name of our ancestral homeland.” Trump agreed with Netanyahu about the incitement by the Palestinian Authority and Trump called on the PA to recognize Israel.
Israel Provided Care Palestinian Patients
In 2014 during the Israeli Gaza conflict it was reported that Palestinian Arab patients felt “locked up in an impossible situation. They are ashamed of what Palestinian terrorists have done. Yet despite the insane political situation Palestinian patients have good relations with the Israelis. When there is a round of terrorism and bombing by Palestinians against Israel, the Palestinian patients feared they would encounter antagonism. But the Israeli doctors calmed them down and said there was no such danger in an Israeli hospital. We see humans and not enemies. Israeli doctors try to make Palestinian patients feel comfortable."
Jews from “The Land of the North”
For decades students of prophecy based on Jeremiah 16:14, 15, expected a large number of Jews from Russia, “the land of the north,” to go to Israel. In March of 1993 Russia was forced by world pressure to let their Jews immigrate to Israel. That same month in a meeting with Prime Minister Rabin of Israel was told that on the basis of Bible prophecy that in the next 10 years one million Jews from Russia would immigrate to Israel. He laughed and told the writer, “If we get 200,000 we will be doing very good!” About five months later in a speech Rabin said that when he was re-elected he was going to turn Israel’s economy around so they could absorb a million Russian Jews. In the next ten years it happened! By 1997-98 over a million Russian Jews had immigrated to Israel in fulfillment of Bible prophecy!
In A.D. 135 after the defeat of Simon Bar Kokhba by the Romans, the Emperor Hadrian changed the name of Judea-ancient Israel to Syria Palestina. But the land was not occupied by Arabs. For over 500 years there were no Muslim Arabs in the land. Since the Second Century A.D until today there has always been a Jewish presence in the Jewish land wrongly renamed by Rome. Israel has had a predominantly Jewish population for almost 3,600 years in their historic land.
How Many Christians Are There in the World?
Christianity is the largest religion in the world and, is likely to remain so for the next four decades. As of 2010, it was claimed there are an estimated 2.2 billion Christians around the world. Also, it was claimed they represent a third of the world’s population with the United States, claiming the largest number and the highest proportion of Christians. The number of Christians worldwide, it is suggested has risen during the last century from an estimated 600 million in 1910 to over 2 billion in 2010.
Between 2010 and 2050 the world’s total population is expected by some to rise about 35%, while the number of Christians worldwide is also expected to rise about 35%. The number of Muslims around the world is projected by some authorities to jump by 73%. In 2010, Christians made up over 3/4 of the total US population. However, it is claimed by 2050, their numbers are likely to be 2/3. The number of Christians in the US some claim will decline from 78% in 2010 to 66% in 2050, while the number of people following other religions it is claimed is expected to nearly double.
Meanwhile, the number of people who identify themselves as atheists, agnostics, and who do not affiliate with any religion is expected by some to decline worldwide. However, their numbers are projected to rise in the US and France. But in the US the number of people who are not affiliated with any religion is projected by some authorities to grow from an estimated 16% of the total population in 2010 to 26% in 2050. Only time will prove the validity of these expectations.
It is claimed that Christians in more than 60 countries face persecution from their governments simply because of their belief in Jesus Christ. The year 2016 was the third year in a row in that persecution is claimed to have continue to rise significantly. Countries that seemed to rank highest were Syria, Afghanistan, Eritrea, Iraq, and number one, North Korea. It is claimed North Korea will again top the world watch list in 2017. If this is correct that will mark that country’s 15th year as the world’s worst country for Christian persecution.
It is claimed by some that nearly 90,000 Christians were killed for their faith in the past year which, if true, is equivalent of one Christian being martyred every six minutes. In addition to the astounding number of Christians being killed for their faith, it is claimed millions of others are prevented from practicing their religion.
Christians are martyred for their faith. It is estimated by others that 100,000 are killed each year. Thus every five minutes a Christian is martyred for their faith according to Christian Freedom International. Some claim that more than 200 million Christians around the world currently face persecution on the planet for their faith.
Much of the persecution today is at the hands of Muslim militants. In Iraq it is claimed Muslim militants are systematically stamping out Christianity, crucifying men, women and children and destroying churches. “Islamic state militants in Iraq are using Christian churches as torture chambers where they force
Christians to either convert to Islam or die. There is a thrilling contrast. In Bangladesh despite the increased persecution of Christians by Muslims, an estimated 91,000 Muslims have converted to Christianity.”
“And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and Everlasting Joy and Gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” Isaiah 35:10
