Volume Three
PUBLISHERS' FOREWORD

The Kingdom of God has been foremost in Christian priority-most often thought of in terms of world conversion. When churches had the sweet taste of success in commanding world attention, they were not about to believe the Kingdom could only be realized when Christ returned. Now an enormous gap exists between the churches' dream of world conversion and the formidable host of unbelievers. Again, Christians are thinking about the Kingdom on earth-only now it is with Christ's return in mind.

This book, written in 1890, restored the "old light" to its place, and the Kingdom is shown to hold all that is beautiful and precious to the Christian hope. The greatest compliment has come in the widespread acceptance in Bible-oriented circles of an earthly Kingdom accompanying Christ's return. None has presented such a grand Kingdom hope to "all people" as contained in these pages.

Many have awakened to Israel's role in the Scriptures. None can escape reading about Israel in Holy Writ or in newsprint. This book traces the scriptures depicting Israel's restoration from the first "tender" branches on the "fig tree." (Matt. 24:32) It was the right time, the right place and the right people for the Divine appointment. What a grand fulfillment of prophecy! Israel's restoration is unique and unparalleled in history, causing even calloused critics of the Bible to wonder.

We present this book with enthusiasm. It is an excellent study and very enlightening. It will give a new tone to your prayer, "Thy Kingdom Come."
