The Kingdom of God has been foremost in Christian priority-most often thought of in
terms of world conversion. When churches had the sweet taste of success in commanding
world attention, they were not about to believe the Kingdom could only be realized when
Christ returned. Now an enormous gap exists between the churches' dream of world
conversion and the formidable host of unbelievers. Again, Christians are thinking about
the Kingdom on earth-only now it is with Christ's return in mind.
This book, written in 1890, restored the "old light" to its place, and the
